Arif Ali Shah Bukhari
At the KASB Foundation’s get-to-gather program for school children, the Consul General
of the United States, Mr. William J. Martin was the Chief Guest, who is seated alongside
Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chairman of the Foundation during the presentation of
the ‘KASB FOUNDATION’S FATA CHILDREN SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM”.

Dr. Vinton G. Cerf, the father of the internet, Mr. Rod Beckstrom, CEO and President
of ICANN and Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, the Chancellor of Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari
Institute of Technology (KASBIT) are members of the Global Peace Network and had
detailed and informative discussions about how through redefined educational and
economic policies terrorism could be eliminated in Pakistan and through out the
world.

General Richard Myers, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, U.S. Military
meeting Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari to discuss the socio-economic situation in Pakistan,
and the involvement of Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari in philanthropic activities during
the periods of natural disasters that have been hitting Pakistan in quick successions
i.e the earthquake and flooding among others.

In support of KASB Foundation’s efforts to promote education to the children from
FATA Region, settled in Karachi, the U.S. Consul General and his staff are pictured
together with Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, the Chairman of KASB Foundation, and the
teaching staff of various sponsored schools with the sponsored students in the background
at a get-to-gather event.

During the visit of Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chancellor of KASBIT and Chairman
of KASB Foundation to the United States, a meeting was held with the Honorable Dan
Levinson, Inspector General, General Services Administration and Former Inspector
General, Department of Health and Human Services to discuss the humanitarian needs
of Pakistan.

During the visit of Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chancellor & Chairman of KASB
Foundation and KASB Developers among other KASB Group Companies to the United States,
a meeting was held with the Honorable David D. Nelson, Acting Assistant, who is
involved with international economic issues, in which the socio-economic affairs
of Pakistan were discussed.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chairman of KASB Foundation met Mr. Timothy Wirth, President
of the United Nations Foundation (UNF) and the Better World Fund to discuss the
ongoing philanthropic activities of their organizations.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chancellor of KASB Institute of Technology and Chairman
of KASB Foundation, KASB Developers and other KASB Group Companies held a meeting
with the Honorable Sue Myrick, who serves on the House Permanent Select Committee
on Intelligence, which has jurisdiction over the intelligence community, including
in the CIA, the Defense and the department of State, Justice and Treasury. In the
meeting discussions were held to exchange the socio-economic view points of the
United States and Pakistan.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chancellor of KASBIT and Chairman other KASB Group Companies
and his delegation met Ms. Rosie Rios, Treasurer of the United States of America,
who explained about how the U.S. treasury operated.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari of KASB Foundation and Chairman of many of the KASB Group
companies met the United States Representative, Mr. Hal Daub during his visit to
Washington and learnt about the way the U.S. Senate works.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chancellor of KASBIT and Chairman of other KASB Group
Companies, together with his delegation met Mr. Jon Llewellyn Kyl, the Senate Minority
Whip and Republic Junior U.S. Senator representing Arizona to learn and understand
the way in which the election process of the United States is carried out.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chancellor of Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari Institute of Technology
(KASBIT) meeting the Honorable Anthony Wilder Miller, Deputy Secretary in the Department
of Education of the United States of America to discuss ways in which the higher
education systems with Pakistan could be aligned.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Member Board of YPO MENA (Middle East & Northern
Region) and Chairman of KASB Foundation met Mr. Warren Rustand, ex-chairman of WPO
and discussed the role that YPO/WPO could play to improve the economy of Pakistan
and the development of better relationship with the United States during dinner
at the State Department in Washington D.C.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chancellor of KASBIT & Chairman of KASB Foundation
met Mr. David S. Ferriero, Archivist of the United States at the National Archives
Building in Washington D.C., and discussed ways by which the students of KASBIT
would have e-access to the rich historical records of the United States.

During his visit to the United States, Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chancellor of
KASBIT and Chairman of KASB Foundation, met Mr. Lawrence Bender, famed Hollywood
producer of the recently released move “Countdown to Zero” and discussed way through
which the wrongly held perceptions of Pakistan could be overcome. In this perspective,
Mr. Bukhari invited Mr. Bender to personally visit Pakistan so that he could himself
verify how peaceful the majority of Pakistanis are and how great a country Pakistan
is so that if possible, he may be able to make a documentary picture to correctly
portray Pakistan as a land of enlightened people who strive for peace just as much
as citizens of all other peace loving countries do.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chairman of KASB Foundation and Chancellor of KASB Institute
of Technolgoy met Governor Tim Kaine, Chairman, Democratic National Committee and
Former Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia at the United State Department of
State and discussed the areas of education and social affairs in Pakistan, which
could be further developed with the cooperation of the United States.

Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, Chairman of KASB Foundation and Chancellor of KASB Institute
of Technolgoy met Senator Bob Corker (R. Tennessee) Member of the Senate Banking,
Housing and Urban Affairs Committee during his visit to the United States and discussed
ways in which the mass transit system and infrastructure of Pakistan could be developed
through the creation of a joint infrastructure development fund.
